The Solution

The Readiness Management System is designed to be the front end tool for all lifecycle phases of training course development. It replaces the existing solutions, which reside in spreadsheets on web sites

The goals of the RMS project are

  • Simplify the action of capturing Readiness needs
  • Simplify the creation and tracking of Readiness Solutions
  • Simplify the assignment of Consumption Commitments
  • Reduce and target Readiness Solutions to the field through the successful creation of Learning Road maps displayed in Role Guide

The Readiness Management System consists of

  • Data Tier: Based on SQL Server 2008 and extensively uses SQL XML & 5NF. Federated database structure agility and scalability
  • Middle Tier: SOA based Web Services using ASP.NET 2.0. Talks to other tiers in XML
  • Client Tier: Consisting of Win Forms based Solutions Manager and Requirements Manager SQL Reporting Services 2008 based Reporting component

GGK along with partner Qdabra Software was involved in design, development and testing of Data and Client Tiers

Technologies Involved

.NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, Web Services, Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007, SQL Server 2008 and Reporting Services.
