  • A dynamic landing page, with relevant daily information (general news, industry news, weather, cartoons)
  • Task lists in each department of weekly, fortnightly and month jobs that are to be carried out, that can be set in a workflow and passed around departments to ensure that jobs get done
  • Document management - ensuring consistent structure of sorting and storing documents
  • Approval of certain documents in the document repository
  • Collaboration facilities (surveys, photos, forums, boards)
  • Department wise calendar to help organize events within the department.
  • Department landing page for each department providing quick and easy access to the latest events, tasks and also to the newest documents in the document repository of a particular department.
  • Each department would have its own dashboard that would report on the information from each of the systems (potentially using SQL Report Services)
  • Reporting Facilities - reporting out of various systems, displaying real-time data and capturing it onto a dashboard on department pages.
  • A knowledge base for all facets of the business that are easily accessible and searchable via a search engine
  • Business processes & forms the creation of electronic based forms that can be uploaded back and then interface with various systems.
  • A fully functional company wide intranet site resulted in better collaboration, improved productivity and operational excellence.
