The Solution

The solution built for the Aspire "Folio Manager" has primarily two parts. One of them is the Excel Smart Client application where the user can play around with the various lots owned of a stock. This application will show the tax consequences for the proposed sales and buys. The second is the website portal where users can login and get their securities data from various feeds. The Excel application is also used to view/edit the information of different lots of a security.

Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (for Smart Client), .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, Web Services, SQL Server 2008.
